To my precious mom, happy 7th Mothers day

D is into water colors and is enjoying herself
Todays masterpiece consisted of 3 paintings, which I have made a collage of here

D is now old enough- as her to play online games.
She is into creating and decorating cakes!
This one she created all on her own, and am impressed as it is quite complicated, check it out at

The current hot favorite cartoon show is Oggy and Cockroaches
Thankfully it comes at 7am nowadays, and is one incentive for D to get up from bed

Today D drew and colored the below drawings - ALL on her own, without any supervision
Boy were we impressed :)

Oggy and Jack (uska cousin - in hindi the voice over copies sunny deol - BHAI!! )

three pesky roaches in the household: Joey, Dee Dee and Marky

I used to love playing with Lego, as a kid, i remember my dad had brought me a set from his deputation @ Libya through Border roads organization. So this year , on her 5th bday, we presented D a lego set

She quite enjoys it and with a little help , made this set, a house and two girls
The 'girl' on the left is D, skipping a rope and the girl on the right is supposed to be her best friend Bhavya

This Sunday, D was wanting to make 4 cards to send to her best friends..

aah well, she is the princess - right..

on her special demand got the colored thermocol balls and after tracing her foot on the paper, applied gum and stuck them on
Looks kind of neat :)

D is a big fan of stickers and all her stickers go on her wardrobe

D is a big fan of Shin Chan and wants to watch it back to back to back
(Even I like him :) )
Beneath all the naughtiness, there is some good hidden...

On our last visit to school , they had a book stall and D pounced upon a coloring book featuring, who else , Shin Chan

She has been hard at it, the first image is when she had patience and I guess its evident that by the end of second coloring session she was running out of it fast
and to think of it, her name is supposed to mean patience (HA!)

D's School had organized a non fire cooking for the parents and kids today
So we landed there bright and early, carrying 2 bags filled with chopping boards, graters, peelers, knives, mixing bowls and loads of ingredients
This was after we (primarily D's mom ) having spent ages searching for something appealing to make

Following is the finished product, the bread is filled with yummy salad ( I can attest to the fact)

This drew rave reviews and comments and our creation was among the most photographed ones at school :)

Besides ours there were quite a few interesting ones that other parents had rustled up, and it was fun event overall

D was supposed to have her first show and tell in LKG last week
Yours truly had created for her the first presentation
The plan was to color print them and laminate the 3 slides

The presentation was originally searched by D's mom in the form of a video
and was being taught to D

The topic was insects- and D being a fan of Pooh, Honey
Bees was the logical choice

As we all know, man proposes - God or illness disposes :(
D was sick that whole week -
so all that effort spent preparing for the show and tell just resulted in this post..small mercies
